  • Overvoice of Teri speaking: Hi, my name is Teri Turner and I'm a Registered Nurse at the Orlando Regional Medical Center or ORMC and I'm going to share with you some simple ways to protrect youself from disease.
  • Arriving home from work
  • Overvoice: I earned my Bachelors in Nursing from Daytonal Beach College. My family consist of my husband of 13 years, my 2 boys, 12 and 8 and my mom.
  • Teri's office
  • Voiceover: Currently, the world is facing the COVID -19 panemic. As a nurse, I'm potentially exposed not only to COVID-19 but all diseases that are out there.
  • Handwashing
  • Voiceover: I have to stay healthy because my patients and my family count on me to be there. Therefore, the are multipe ways I protect myself from disease. Fro instance, there are some precautions I take when I get home from work.
  • Speaking: Before I step in my home, I take off my uniform and place them in a bag. My clothes are immediately washed. I leave my shoes outside the home and spray them with Lysol. While these precautions don't apply to the general public, there are some other basic things that can be done that everyone can do to protect themselves from disease.
  • Voiceover: The number one way to protect yourself is to wash our hands.
