Our beloved dog, Sadie escaped from the backyard. She loves roaming in the woods and we can usually hear her howling, but this time all is silent. What if we never find Sadie?

Storyboard Text

  • Mom.  I can't find Sadie.  I can't leave for my sleepover until we find her.
  • We'll have to hurry to find her.
  • SADIE!  Come here, girl!
  • Mom, what if we can't find her?
  • Mom, I think she may really be gone.  I can't believe we lost our dog for good.
  • I'm sure we'll find her., but I wish it wasn't getting dark.
  • We were just about to leave for my sleepover party when I realized my dog, Sadie was missing.
  • Jake, it's getting really late.  I think we better go back to the house and look for her in the morning.
  • My mom and I searched the woods behind our house where Sadie likes to sniff for rabbits and squirrels.
  • Jake, she'll be alright.
  • We usually hear her howling when she catches a good scent, but it was eerily quiet.  I was sad about missing my party, but not finding Sadie was like someone punching me in the stomach.
  • My mom thought we should continue looking for Sadie in the morning.  I knew I wouldn't sleep a wink tonight.
  • My mom tried to get me to come inside, but I just couldn't.  I kept thinking of Sadie being lonely and scared in the dark woods.  Then suddenly I heard it"Howwwl!  Sadie ran to me like a race horse galloping to the finish line.
  • I was so relieved to have Sadie back home with us.  I may have missed a fun sleepover, but this sleepover with Sadie was awesome.
