Storyboard Text

  • Do you ever wonder how the water that we need cycles through the earth?
  • I know how, it all starts with evaporation. This is where water absorbs heat energy from the sun & turns it into vapors that go to the sky.
  • The water that is in plants roots can also travel through the plant and evaporate through transpiration. It evaporates from small pores under leaves called stomata.
  • Uh...okay?
  • As the vapor rises into the atmosphere, it changes into tiny droplets of ice/water due to high altitudes. This creates clouds. This process is called condensation.
  • If only I knew he'd give me this whole lecture.
  • The droplets combine into bigger droplets that causes the clouds to pour down as precipitation. This can be in the form of rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
  • As the water pours down, it leads to runoff. Runoff is where water runs over the surface of earth. The water ends up in rivers, lakes, and oceans.
  • What a nerd...
  • Thanks for that long explanation and all but I didnt need ALL THAT.
  • But it will all eventually end up into the bigger bodies of water, as in the oceans and seas. Then the cycle will repeat.
