  • Doodle's brother leaves him alone in the rain after Doodle fails to complete one of his tasks, even though the brother knows that being too wet is bad for Doodle.
  • 6. Conflict
  • Doodle's brother goes back for Doodle, after feeling guilty for leaving him, and finds him curled up under a tree, not moving.
  • Doodle's brother finds him lying in the rain dead with blood coming out of his mouth. Doodle's brother weeps and covers Doodle's body from the rain.
  • Doodle's brother warns Doodle that being different is bad and that Doodle should fit in, showing a theme of Man vs Society because Doodle feels like he has to fit in and be normal.
