  • Why did you leave Annie?
  • When Helen Keller was just 19 months old, she had an accident and was diagnosed with acute congestion. Helen had more than just acute congestion. The scene shown is when Helen's mother and father, Kate and Captain Arthur Keller, discover that Helen can not see or hear.
  • After discovering that Helen is blind and deaf, they struggle for the next few years. Helen is now out of control even after all of the help they have gotten from different doctors. She acts like and animal and has no way to express her feelings, so she takes it out on people. In this cell, Helen is taking out her anger and frustration on her servants Percy, and Martha.

  • After a suggestion from Helen's aunt, Aunt Ev, they chose to get Annie Sullivan to come and help Helen learn. When Annie has arrived and she started having flash backs of the period of time that she had been in an almshouse with her brother Jimmie. She had to leave her brother at the almshouse because she wanted to fulfill her dream and go to school. She regrets leaving him and and fells guilt every day.

  • One morning the Keller family and Annie were having breakfast when Helen starts to put her hand into Annie's plate. Annie removes her hand and Helen starts throwing a fit. Then Annie makes the Keller family leave in order to make Helen fold her napkin, and eat with her spoon. The dining area becomes a major mess in the process.
  • After the dining room disaster, Annie thought it was time to come up with a plan with the Kate and Arthur. Annie thought that Helen was not going to listen to Annie so she came up with the idea of that she would move out to the garden house with Helen. Helen would have to rely on Annie for her daily necessities. She decided to take Percy with because he would be there to help a bit.
  • After living in the Garden house. Helen has learned to be respectful to Annie. Annie wanted more time because Helen ad not yet learned that things have names. But after being rejected more time she tried to continue her work with Helen. When they were at a meal, Helen kept taking off her napkin. Annie repeatedly replaced the napkin as Helen threw it off. Helen got upset and threw the pitcher of water at Annie. Annie then dragged Helen outside to refill the pitcher of water. Annie was spelling out water in Helen's hand she realized that things have names. And she remembered hat when she was a baby that she learned how to say wa-wa, which means water. Then everyone goes out by the water pump and are very happy.
