  • Nucleus
  • Today we are going to be learning about the cell cycle. There are 6 stages in the cell cycle. The first is.....
  • INTERPHASE!! Here I spend most of my time carrying out normal life activities! But at the very end I tell my DNA "Clone yourselves!!"
  • DNA
  • Chromosomes
  • Yes! That is correct! The second stage of the cell cycle is called....
  • PROPHASE! Here my chromosomes become visible and are pared with the chromatids. My nucleus also disappears here.
  • Centrioles
  • Spindle Fibers
  • Yes! Right again!! The third stage of the cell cycle is....
  • METAPHASE!! "Yo chromosomes! Get into a single file line!!" Then once the chromosomes are in a straight line, my spindle fibers attach to them.
  • ANAPHASE!! Here, "OWW", my chromosomes separate and move to opposite sides of me! It hurts a bit!
  • Wow! Nice Job! The third stage is......
  • Nucleus Returning
  • It's TELOPHASE! Its the most painful of them all because my membrane begins to pinch and create another cell just like me! My nucleus also comes back and one forms in the new cell! And my chromosomes return to DNA strands.
  • OWW!
  • Looks like you've got all the answers! Now what is the fourth stage?
  • DNA
  • The final stage is CYTOKINESIS. Now we are two identical daughter cells! "Hey twin!!"
  • Heyy!
  • Nice job! Now lets see if you can get the last stage!
  • That was a great lesson! Goodbye now!!
