Storyboard Text

  • The female frog lays thousands of jelly covered eggs in the water. It takes about 10 days for the eggs to hatch.
  • The eggs can be destroy in a rainy weather like this, birds and fish can eat the eggs or tadpoles    
  • Eggs hatch into tiny tadpoles. They swim, eat, and grow. It uses its tail to swim.
  • As a tadpole grows, it sprouts legs. The froglet grows and its tail begins to shrink.
  • The froglet continues to grow and frog legs appear. The lungs begin to develop. Its eyes and mouth grow larger and the tail keeps shrinking.
  • When the tail finally disappears the froglet becomes a frog. It can now leap onto land and live out of water.
