The holiday just started and I was still in my bed at 9 in the morning. My family members had gone out to work. “I can finally have the whole house to myself!” I thought. However, as soon as I woke up, I felt my stomach growling to the extend that Irushed to the kitchen before brushing my teeth.
Climax ( Darien)
When I opened the fridge,I only saw fresh and raw food and not my favourite read-to-eat breakfast like cooked sausages and cakes.I was also broke, I couldn’t just go out to buy breakfast.Damn! I should have paid more attention in FCE class.”
Desperate time needs desperate measure. For some reason, desperation just suddenly drives up my creativity.’’ I looked at the ingredients and taught to himself, "What can I do with these so that I can put them into my mouth?’’ I took out the bacon, eggs, carrots and cauliflower .By some miracle,I found a loaf of bread! Now I can begin to draw out my evil plan of cooking.
“ How can I make it tasty? Oil, lots of oil!’’ I poured oil on to the frying pan, turned on the flame and put in the bacon. The fire was so strong that the oily smoke filled the whole kitchen. I then started frying the eggs with the leftover oil. “ This will add more taste to the eggs.” I thought. After I finished with the eggs, I chopped up the vegetables and fried them like there is no tomorrow. Lastly, I threw in 2 slices of bread to soak up the oil and gravy, so that less washing up was needed.
Too much smoke, can't see a thing!
“What to do now?” I stacked the cooked ingredients layer by layer starting with the bread, vegetables, egg, bacon and bread repeatedly.I just realized that I had constructed my first sandwich! I took the first bite, the oily saltiness of the bacon filled my mouth. "Yummy! I never thought that I could cook.”
All this while, I did not know I could cook. This adventure changed my life forever indeed. I now find that cooking is fun and interesting. I want to learn more about cooking. Not only do I want to cook for myself, I also want the family to taste my cooking. I know that not knowing something does not mean the end of the world. But for now, dinner awaits
