  • Hey Spain is being mean let succeed from the country
  • HA HA HA that should teach you to never mess with Spain
  • Only one thing to do call America to come help us
  • Oh no he has trapped us what should we do.
  • All Right Let's go to war
  • Cuba decides to succeed from Spain in 1895 They want to go to war and fight for their independence
  • Well That was easy!
  • Soon after Cuba decided to rebell Spain heard so they sent a man by the name of Valeriano Weyler, and french generall to help he put most of the Cubans in concentration camps and 100,000 Cubans died Soon they asked America for help and McKinley denied he did not want to go to war.
  • Soon afterward the Cuban's started needing America to join in but McKinley kept on refusing the Cubans even burnt down the sugar that the Americans were paying for and then Spain started asking for a war the embassitor of Spain De lome sent a note to congress talking about how McKinley was weak then the U.S.S. Maine blew up and then with all of these thing McKinley went into war.

  • This was one of the main battles in the Spanish American war was Manilla in which the American troops hurried to Manilla where Spanish troops were we came from Hong-Kong a little late and ended up winning the war. Dewey launches surprise attack on Spanish ship and is able to defeat the entire fleet in 7 hours.
  • We basically blockade around Cuba and sent in rough riders to go in and battle the people on the coasts and won two wars on its east coastal line we had a blockade all around thanks to Theodore Rosevelt and his strategy we blocked them in and beat them.

  • The Treaty of Paris was signed with Spain in 1898 and we got we got three big islands and 20 million dollars from them and we signed to peace.We gained the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and the Pacific island of Guam but these places were unincorporated for the U.S. which meant we could not make states out of them.
