  • Yes, I am ill, but I am not crazy! Let me tell you my story.
  • Are you ill? You sound crazy, man.
  • Conflict
  • That eye... It infuriates me!
  •     Z   Z  Z
  • Rising Action
  • Oops, my finger slipped. He is awake now. His eye must die!
  • What was that noise? I must be careful I don't want to die.
  • The narrator has been called crazy countless times, but he still believes that he is not, so he plans to explain his actions in order for people to believe that he is sane. 
  • Climax

  • The Narrator dislikes the old man's eye due to it having a resemblance towards the eye of a vulture. 
  • Falling Action
  • One day, while the narrator was stalking the old man, his finger slipped, so the old man became aware of his, the narrator's, presence. The narrator had to wait longer in order to see the old man while he was off guard.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator catches him off guard and kills him and hides his body.
  • I will kill you along with that wretched eye! Ha ha ha!

  • A few moments after he hides the body, two police officers knock on the door. The narrator, confidently, lets them in, and he even lets them look around, but they could not find the body. After a while, the narrator starts to hear a strange noise.
  • Hmm, I am not usre what to think of this man.

  • I will never be caught, but what is that noise...
  • He realized it came from the old man's heart. The noise got exceedingly louder. The narrator could not take it anymore, so he revealed where the body was to try to stop  the noise.
  • How could this have happened!

  • Ah, I cannot take this anymore! His body is there. Please, I cannot handle this noise. Here, the body is here!
