  • Joan a thirteen year old peasant girl from France saw a light and heard a voice of God. God had told Joan to save France and put the dauphne  on the throne and make the English leave.
  • The year when Joan's voices began, France was in chaos. Since 1337 the English and the French had been fighting the Hundred Year war. Tensions within the borders were also highas France itself was deeply divided.
  • Joan's first challenge on the way to north riems was to free the city of Orleans. In spring of 1429 Joan guided Charles troops toward Orleans. At a monastery near Orleans held by the english and French soldiers attacked. 
  • 
  • The english and the catholic Church put Joan on trial in roven for witchcraft.Or spreading beliefs that violets accepted religious taeching. 
  • In 1425 Joan of Arc the daughter of northern french peasents Joan had just turned 13. The visions and voices without warning like a flash of lightning.they hoped that proving God did not guide Joan. 
  • At her execution Joan asked a priest to hold a crucifix high for her to see and pray load enough so she could here him over the roar of the flames.
