  • When Alexander was a boy he was taught by Aristotle because his father believed a good leader had both brains and bronze.
  • This, my student is the Iliad, you will read and carry it wherever you go.
  • A FEW YEARS LATER.....
  • AAAAHHHHHH!!!! Avenge me!!!!
  • When Alexander was 20 his father was killed and Alexander became ruler.
  • When Alexander first became leader people thought that he was young and weak but they were wrong because he was strong and burned Persian to the ground.
  • AAAHHHHHHH!!!
  • WE MUST CONQUER PERSIA!!!
  • After conquering Persia Alexander expanded his empire by conquering Asia and Indus.
  • Red map area=Alexanders empire 336-323 BC
  • Alexander brought many divested people to his empire which created a new type of culture. This mixed Greek and and Hellenic creating Hellenistic. 
  • While in Babylon Alexander fell ill and died a few days later at the age of 33.
