Storyboard Text

  • "How did this poppet come into my house?"
  • "Damn the Deputy Governor! Out of my house"
  • "You've ripped the deputy Governor's warrant, man!"
  • "Don't chain her.. I'll pay you."
  • "I will bring you home. I will bring you soon."
  • Cheever comes into the Proctor's home and has a warrant to search and arrest Elizabeth Proctor after finding a doll given by Mary Warren with a needle through its head.
  • "You're coming to court with me, Mary. You will tell it in court."
  • "... she'll kill me for saying that!"
  • John Proctor, angered, as they don't believe his wife Elizabeth is innocent, rips up Deputy Governor's warrant to search and arrest Elizabeth Proctor.
  • "Make your peace with it! Now Hell and Heaven grapple on our backs, and all our old pretense is ripped away-- make your peace!"
  • Herrick has nine men outside and chains up Elizabeth Proctor while John Proctor is demanding they let her go. Hopelessly telling them to not take her and will bring her home soon.
  • "Peace. It is a providence, and no great change; we are only what we always were, but naked now."
  • "I cannot, I cannot..."
  • After Elizabeth has been taken away, John Proctor tells Mary Warren to go to court with him to confess she was the one who gave the doll and put the needle in it.
  • John Proctor grasping Mary Warren by her throat as if he was choking her, tells her to make peace and confess regardless any circumstances.
  • John Proctor throws Mary Warren to the floor while walking out the door, as she continually says she cannot charge murder on Abigail and that she'll kill her.
