  • Actually, we do! Strolling through the gardens you will find Koi Ponds, Cherry Blossoms, tea houses, art pieces, and even a sand garden and more.
  • Im thinking about going to the gardens in Portland. Do you know anything about them?
  • The idea for the Japanese Garden came in the late 1950's to provide people with a beautiful garden but to also forge healing and understanding with japanese ties. The site was dedicated in 1961 to a Japanese professor.
  • The creators of this place were the Suzhou Foregin Affaris Department and Mayor Vera Katz. This magnifecnt display opened on  September 14, 2000.
  • The creator of the gardens were Mayor Terry Schrunk and the Portland community. Interesting fact: It wasnt open year round tell 1981.
  • Wow! what about the Chinese Gardens.
  • The gardens are called LanSu Gardens combining ancient Chinese sister cities. The garden purpose was again to show the history of Chinese gardens and to create a place to enjoy.
