- Love Dream
- Later, Oberon finds Puck and asks him about his progress. Puck tells him about Bottom and Titania and the lovers. Oberon congratulates Puck but sees Hermia and Demetrius coming. "This is the man" Oberon says but Puck replies "This is the woman but not the man!". Hermia is complaining to Demetrius because she thinks he has killed Lysander. Oberon realises Puck's mistake.
- Resolved
- Puck is told to put the juice in Demetrius' eyes to make him in love with Helena. It works but now both men are in love with Helena and neither with Hermia. Helena thinks they are all tricking her and Hermia thinks Helena has hypnotised them. Both men decide to fight for Helena so go into the woods. Hermia and Helena storm away from each other.
- The Triple Wedding
- Meanwhile, Titania and Bottom were in her cave and exchanging loving words. Oberon and Puck arrived and Oberon decided that Titania had suffered enough. He put the cure in her eyes and got Puck to remove Bottom's head and to take him away. When Titania awoke she said "I had the strangest dream, I was in love with an ass?" "It was only a dream." Oberon said and lead her away.
- A Happy Ending
- Back in the forest, Puck changed his voice to lure Lysander and Demetrius away from each other until they were so tired they laid down to sleep not knowing they were right next to each other! At the same time, Hermia and Helena had been sleeping in the same grove. Puck put the cure in Lysander's eyes and left them. Soon they were discovered by the Duke and taken back to the palace.
- In the palace the Duke realised he couldn't separate true love and declared the lovers would get married at his party as well. At the same time, Bottom arrived back to the Mechanicals with a headache but was, nevertheless, ready to perform. Egeus gave up trying to control Hermia and the triple wedding was planned.
- At the wedding the Mechanicals performed the play and everyone was happy. At the end of the play Puck came onto the stage and apologised for all the commotion. His message was that if the tale had offended, then just imagine it was all a dream.
