Hi, I'm a star named Spica. By star, I don't mean that I'm extraordinary or anything, I mean that I'm literally made of Hydrogen and Helium
I live in the main sequence and I'm part of a constellation called Virgo.
I have a pretty high mass so I start as a protostar or stellar nebula and then I become a massive star, a red supergiant, a supernova and then either a neutron star or black hole. Sadly, I have a rather long life.
I also live around 83 parsecs away from you. Try and visit every other star but me. I don't like visitors.
I make new elements in my core through a process called nuclear fusion. Pretty cool right?
I live 260.9 light years away from you so you probably won't be visiting me anytime soon. Not that I mind.
In the constellation I'm a part of, there's a pulsar star named PSR B1257+12. Lame name, I know.
Sometimes I think about life and how I can do nothing since I'm just a big ball of gas and dust.
I myself am a star system although I'm not that big. I have a companion star right next to me but we don't like to talk about him. Next question.
I move through the galaxy at 19.8 km/s relative to the Sun. Still faster than you lazy humans.
