It was late summer on Maple Street, somewhere in the USA. It was a normal day until a mysterious light soared and roared across the summer sky.
A few moments later, the electricity went out. Everyone gathered around in curiosity. Just as Steve and Charlie are going to go investigate, Tommy tells them it could be the work of aliens.
Les Goodman was away from the crowd, trying to start his car. He somehow got it to start. Once he began to be suspected, a woman confessed to seeing him at night, looking up, and watching the stars as if he's searching for something.
Everyone is keeping an eye out for each other. Don told everyone that Steve had a secret, mystery radio. Charlie shot Pete Van Horn dead and his house lights turned on. Everyone is a suspect and ready to turn against each other.
Charlie got hit with a rock as he ran home and even accused Tommy, a little boy, of being the one behind it all. Everything starts turning on and off. Everyone is running wild. Nobody can be trusted anymore.
Two mysterious figures watch Maple Street becoming a chaotic mess. It has happened before and will happen again. Maple Street is not unique. It's a pattern where they always destroy themselves in the end.
