Thomas Scott was taken away by Metis guards and was shot by a firing squad. Some people believe they were just trying to scare Scott, but he ended up being shot, however, that was never confirmed.
The people of Ontario found out about the situation. Newspapers claimed that Riel killed him without a reason.
Louis Riel commits the crime of ordering his guards to kill Thomas Scott.
The Ontario Protestant soldiers came to arrest Louis Riel. He was claimed guilty, and the people of Ontario voted to hang him.
Louis Riel, was accused of a crime that later on was identified as an act of justice.
