  • THE TELL TALE HEART
  • "It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain.... I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture."
  • "I undid it (Lantern) just so much that a single thin ray fell upon the vulture eye. And this I did for seven long nights --every night just at midnight."
  •                       This is the story of                The Tell Tale Heart 
  • The narrator is trying to explain why he killed this old man he used lived with.
  • Yes, of course.
  • May we search your house sir?
  • Every night for a week  the narrator went to the old man's house, and plotted to kill him. 
  • TICK<TICK
  •   "'Villains!' I shrieked, 'dissemble no more! I admit       the deed!'"
  • The narrator throws the old man off the bed, and pulls his mattress on top of him, suffocating him. 
  • The police arrived, because a neighbor notified them of a scream in the house the narrator's house. The narrator says he screamed, the old man wasn't in town.
  • The narrator thinks he hears a ticking noise from the old man's heart. He believes that the police hear it too. He confesses to the police that he killed the old man.
