This is a story about a world based in London where Ed, Jack, Bam and the other students at Rowhurst School. The story starts where they start to realize that the school isn't safe anymore. They leave the school in search of a better place.
The disease affects people sixteen or older. Once the teachers go on the attack, the children know it's time to escape to the city.
Before they go to the city to escape the adults, they find a girl trapped in a house and they rescue her. They then find a church with children from another school in it.
They arrive at London and they find a museum with children their age with weapons. They come to an agreement where the Rowhurst children will help find food and defend the museum, in return for food, water and a safe place.
When they're in the museum, the city caught ablaze. All the "grown-ups" came running from the fire straight to the museum. The children defend themselves with weapons. They win, but they get separated.
They then retreat to a tower, where there are children there. The children then get together and defend the tower. They look for the other children but do not find them.
