  • During the time of the Gupta Empire, the concept of zero and the decimal system were invented.
  • Astronomers in the Gupta Empire calculated a year to be 365.358 days long. That was only three hours off of the real time! They also came up with the theory that Earth spins on an axis.
  • There were many medical advancements in the Gupta Empire like Plastic Surgery. They also discovered a vaccine for the deadly small pox.
  • During the Gupta Empire, two incredibly civilized cities began. These cities were named Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro.
  • A famous university named Nalanda was contructed during India's Golden Age. This school was very good and the smartest of the smart attended it.
