- Psst! what is 2/6 plus 7/12
- Figure it out yourself!You can use the 4 square method.
- In the first square you write the question down. So in your case you'd write 2/6 plus 7/12
- Then with what ever you got you find out the denominator times what equals their LCD
- Then in the second square you find the LCD. Lowest common denominator. You find the denominators' multiples and stop until you find the lowest multiple that they have in common.
- So now you should have two fractions with the same denominator. So the problem should be easier!
- And whatever you multiply the denominator by, you also multiply the numerator. You do this on both fractions
- What are you doing!?!?
