Importance of Family - Ismene
I did it too. If she'll allow my claim. I share with her the credit and the blame.
Importance of Family - Haemon
So I beg you Father, don't entrench yourself in your opinion as if everyone else was wrong.
Antigone is willing to sacrifice her life in order to make sure Polyneices has a proper burial. This shows she values family glory and honor over her well being.
Ismene is willing to take the blame for Antigone's crime. If Antigone is sentenced to death, Ismene would be willing to die with her sister as well.
Haemon is willing to sacrifice his good relationship with his father, Creon, in order to try to convince him to forgive Antigone. Haemon later ends his own life out of grief and love for Antigone.
