Pelias hated his older brother, Aeson, because he was the king of Thebes. He was jealeous so he took the crown and sent Aeson to prison.
Aeson had a son, named Jason, who wanted to help his father be king again. When Pelias heard that Jason was coming, he did not send ASSASSINS to kill him. Instead, he challenged him to get the golden fleece and bring it to him, in exchange for his dads crown.
Jason accepted and went on a journey on a boat called the Argo. He called his crew the Argonauts. During the trip, he got attacked by some Harpies, but Jason fought them off. They soon after finally reach the island of the golden fleece.
Jason had to fight the kings army, but Jason fought off the king army, and the kings daughter asked if he married her, she could make a spell to help him from the dragon. He wanted to be fair, so he said he wanted to be fair. When he reached the dragon, it had no eyelids. He fought the dragon with all of his might, untill he had killed it.
Jason took the fleece and the king's daughter back to Thebes, where he let his father from jail. He let Jason be king of Thebes, because he was too tired. But the king's daughter knew how to brew a potion to make him young. When Aeson drank it, he fell asleep for 3 day before waking up to him being young so he could rule Thebes.
Pelias came to the king's daughter as well so he could get a potion to live forever, too, but she gave him a potion that puts you to sleep forever. In the end, Jason ends up marrying the king's daughter, and Aeson become king again. Pelias never wakes up again, as well. THE END
