Storyboard Text

  • There's a wide population of turtles. Some turtles have webbed feet, and some don't.
  • The turtles with webbed feet have a favorable trait because they outrun predators better than the turtles without webbed feet.
  • Not having webbed feet means the turtles can’t swim as fast and they get eaten.
  • Over time, the turtles without webbed feet mostly get eaten by predators.
  • Over time, the turtles with webbed feet survive, reproduce, and pass along their traits to their turtle babies.
  • After a while, most of the turtles in this population have webbed feet.
