Neighbors Put up excessive Christmas decor, Loch Raven Village CLaims it exceeds code
Storyboard Text
phew, I'm finally done putting up my Christmas lights, I love how they turned out!
Hey...Don't you think excessive? It looks like it exceeds code. I'm going to have to file a complaint
As a member of the jury, we would like to hear both sides arguments please.
Oh god, she actually did it...this note is telling me my lights exceed code?! I can either go to court or pay the fine... No way am I paying for this! I'm going to court!
----
Okay, thank you both. The jury will now vote and come to a conclusion
1. I was not aware about the code, 2. I was not given a formal notice beforehand , 3. It was not extremely excessive
She shouldn't get a pass just because she "didn't know", It was in the contract for the HOA. She also didn't take them down after i filed a complaint.
The jury has decided that you will have to pay the fine given that you had a contract that you signed and went against it. This is called breech of contract and it is a civil crime.
I believe I should not be fined because I was not aware of the code, given a formal notice and the lights were not that bad.
I believe she should be fined because she signed the HOA contract where it states the code about lights. This is a breech of contract.
