  • Always wear goggles and lab coats as directed by the teacher.
  • If there is a piece of broken glass notify your teacher, and do not pick it up unless your teacher directs you to do so.
  • If chemical gets on your skin, clothing, or in your eyes, rinse immediately and alert your teacher.
  • Do not use electrical equipment near water or when clothing or hands are wet.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before leaving the lab, or starting another activity.
  • Be aware of any source of flames, sparks, or heat before working with any flammable substances.
