Storyboard Text

  • Do you want to learn about photosynthesis?
  • Sure. What is Photosynthesis?
  • It's process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water.
  • 1st Chlorophyl in plant absorbs the sunlight. 2nd Chlorophyl uses that sun energy to create sugars.
  • Cool! What is the process of photosynthesis
  • The pigment chlorophyl absorbs different wave lengths of light cells and uses the energy to make sugars.
  • Is there a recipe or formula or equation for photosynthesis?
  • Yes it's called the photosynthetic equation... 6CO2 + 6H2O ------> 602+C6H12O6 6 carbon dioxide + 6 water + Light energy + 6 glucose + 6 oxygen
  • But why is photosynthesis important for plants like me?
  • Provides most of the atmospheric oxygen vital to respiration in plants and produces carbon dioxide necessary for plants.
  • Where does photosynthesis happen inside me.
  • I have to go. Bye.
  • Photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast of the cell.
