Storyboard Text

  • Athena invented the flute, trumpet, chariot, bridle, rake, plow,  and ship
  • A well-known myth with  Athena is the myth of Medusa
  • One of the theories of the myth is where Medusa used to be a beautiful mortal who boasted about her appearance and one day she went to the Parthenon & saw statues of Athena and said:
  • Who ever did this statue did do a good job but it would look better if I was the statues.
  • When she got to the altar she laughed happily and insulted Athena once more. Shock came over everyone there and she was too busy looking at herself in the bronze doors to notice them leaving.
  • My this is a beautiful temple. It is a shame it is wasted on Athena for I am much prettier than she is, perhaps one day people will build an even grander temple to my beauty.
  • Nonsense. One day beauty will fade away. But I will make it fade away now and all your loveliness will be gone forever
  • She also didn't notice the statue turning into Athena herself, who scolded and yelled at her.
  • But my beauty brings happiness to people.
  • Then, Athena turned her into a monster with snakes for hair.
  • Are you happy for what I have done? Now anyone who looks in your eyes will now turn into stone and no one will be able to save them. Even you will turn to stone if you see yourself.
