The Intolerable Acts (1774) were to make sure the colonists had no more celebrations like the Boston Tea Party. To do this, the British passed a law of brutal punishements to make sure the colonits were under control.
Ummm... Looks kinda bad right now, that's for sure.

The French and Indian War ended in the year of 1763. It was good that the war ended, but all profits the Britians collected from the colonists were erased. Now what were they going to do to get their money back? How about taxes?
All our money has been lost in the war! Man all OUR hard work at waste! Time for taxes!
End of French and Indian War
YOUR hard work?! TAXES?!
The British King drew a line along the Appalichian Mountains and forbid the colonists from settling in the west of the line (1763). The colonists grew angry at this rule.
Don't cross the line!
These battles (1775) were a big kickoff to the Revolutionary War. British Troops marched from Boston to Concord while Paul Revere warnded everyone about their coming.
