Storyboard Text

  • We must relocate the Native Americans in the East. We should move them to open land West of the Mississippi.
  • Did you hear? They passed the Indian Removal act. All Indians must move west.
  • I know! I can't believe the Cherokees are refusing. This will only end badly for them.
  • After the Cherokees went to the supreme court in hopes to repeal the act, it was indeed found unconsitutional.
  • I don't care what they say! These Indians must go whether they are civilized or not.
  • I have just been informed that a whopping 500 Cherokees have signed and agreed to sell all land by 1838. This will then prompt the remaining 16,500 non-signers to move
  • They have been resisting for too long. Send your troops and move them west, do whatever it takes.
  • That year they force ably took the remaining Cherokees West to the designated territory. On that terrible treacherous journey over 1/4 of the entire Cherokee population died.
