Well, what can we do to fix this before it actually happens?
There have been movements to not use ozone depleting substances unless necessary, but it is harder to control in developing countries. The Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer is an example.
Can I personally do anything to help?
You can use products that don't spray and try to use less air conditioners, freezers, and refrigerators until a safer version of them is created, like in 1995.
I guess I learned that we need to care about the atmosphere because I don't want cataracts anytime soon.
