What do you mean?
Actually, it's very hard to keep this ship on course.
That weak current and slight wind is pushing us to the left. To stay on course, the captain has to push us slightly to the right with our engine.
But, how does that weak current and wind push such a big ship?
Well, the ship pushes back and...
...when something pushes against your foot you trip, right? The ship is being pushed on it's "foot" - the stern, by the wind and current.
Ha Ha!! Ye have reawakened me and my crew with yer jokes!
Ha Ha! In a sense yes, this is using the mechanics of tripping, yes.
So the captain make sure it takes a long "trip"?
