  • we have a huge test today in ms. flamingo's class and I forgot to study!
  • I know everything there is to know about the crusades. I also found the answer key to the test online.... I can help you.
  • well, thanks, I guess... what should I know?
  • well firstly, you should know that a group of muslims called the seljuk turks invaded the holy city and refused christians the ability to enter. the crusades were a religous war; a series of nine conflicts between christians and muslims. they were fighting over who they thought had a right into the holy city, jerusalem.
  • I know that the crusades took place sometime between 1095 and 1204. And the first crusade was preached by Pope Urban II. He told the Christians that if they fought for Jerusalem that their sins would be forgiven, right?
  • Yeah, something like that.
  • Even though a lot of people may have died, and the crusades were long and laborious, they ended up being slightly beneficial in the end. Eventually the Christians were able to take Jerusalem back. Not to mention, kings regained power and land, trade increased and resulted in a better economy.
  • gotta go now. we're gonna ace this test!
  • unit assesment the crusades
