  • Constantine
  • Yay! Hooray!
  • Christianity is now the official religion of Rome!
  • Praise God!
  • Fall of the Roman Empire
  • What!? My money is worthless!
  • Germans
  • Jesus Christ's followers were greatly persecuted by the Roman Emperors. From 54 to 304 AD, most Roman Emperors persecuted Christians. Instead of wiping out Christianity by persecuting them, Christianity actually grew and strengthened.
  • Constantine was the first Roman Emperor that claimed to be a Christian. Under the Edict of Milan it was no longer a crime to be a Christian, and other religions were persecuted.
  • The fall of the Roman Empire was because bad leadership and decisions allowed the Germans to easily attack the empire. The Western Roman Empire went down quickly, but the Eastern Roman Empire remained prominent as a world power for many more years.
