  • In World War II, The aircraft's goal was to build the most possible and best quality aircraft to meet emergency needs. Now, Boeing Company's transport goods and passengers
  • Aircraft production in General - Then and Now
  • Women during World War II worked in factories while producing planes. It was mostly made by hand but assembly lines were used. Today, Boeing can build HUGE passengers jets in a matter of days or a couple weeks. Machines can be used to put together planes/jets but many workers still use their hands.
  • Amount of Airplane Production - Then and now
  • It is the world´s largest aerospace company and top automaker of commercial jetliners and defense, and space and security systems.
  • Conclusion
  • Airplanes were produced more because it was very needed during World War II. Wartime required faster and larger scale production of airplanes. Today, Boeing mostly produces commercial aircraft. They don have to refill them as often due to the fact that these planes can hold a lot of oil.
  • The amount of aircraft production went up for Boeing from 60 B-17´s a month in 1942 to 362 a month in 1944. Today, more than 10,000 Boeing created commercial jetliners are in service worldwide.
