This is Nicholas Winton, a stockbroker born in Britain. Who was going on a ski trip this weekend. But, a friend needed some help with refugees trying to get into Czechoslavakia. Being a good friend, he reluctantly accepted.
Winton's Stockbroker Business
When he got there he was met by a lot of refugees coming from Germany, most of them Jews. All seemed hungry and thirsty. Saying "Business is not working out any more." or "We were pushed out by our government."
After a while, he noticed something a train. After getting a few people to come with him, he went to check it out. What he found was a bunch of children. All looking like miniature skeletons.
He asked his friend what to do with the hundreds of Jews they had found. Being confused he clarified, "What?" Winton repeated "I found a bunch of jewish children." His friend and Winton would than devise a plan for these children.
Umm... Let's Brainstorm.
The following months they would find home and food for all of these poor children, saving all of their lives. Making those skeletons of children into living human bodies. While giving them protection from the Nazis. Letting them live long fulfilling lives.
Welcome to your new home..
These Children would pop up in Winton's life again. Surprising him on national television. Him also appearing on 60 minutes. Showing the world, the overall theme and moral of the story is "The best gift you can give someone is a selfless act."
