Hey! I'm Alex and this is my dog, Frankie. We're going to take you through space! So, how much do you know about space? It's okay if you don't know a lot, we''l give the run down! With that said, Let's go!
Hey Frankie, Let's go explore space!
Let's start off with the Big Bang Theory. Did you know that the universe is 13.7 billion years old? The universe is expanding rapidly and will continue to do so , and if we went back in time, the universe would gradually become smaller.
Hey Frankie, are you ready for the big bang?
Everything would have gathered at one point, everything including all pieces of matter in existence. According to the theory, the universe exploded into existence from pressure and force. After the initial bang, it took 370,000 years for atoms to fully form.
Did you know the hubble telescope lets us see 13.2 billion years into the past?
Really? That's awesome!
Looking about a million years into the future, Helium and Hydrogen compressed into protostars. Four million years after the explosion, the first ever stars ignite. During the next billions of years numerous galactic events will occur, like the formation of galaxies and our own sun.
That was fun! Next stop the size of the universe!
Yeah, Let's go!
The observable universe is HUGE! It is roughly 92 billion light years across and that's just what we can see, we don't know anything about what lies beyond the observable universe.
That was pretty cool, yeah? Now let's talk about the size of the universe.
The observable universe will continue to grow in size rapidly.
It's estimated that the universe is around 160 billion light years across, however it could be much larger than that, there's no way to tell.
Space is massive! Let's go look at our solar system now.
