  • Today i'll be telling you about the Stages of Revolution in South Africa
  • 0:Acceptance
  • I now proclaim to start the Apartheid Program.
  • We should all be treated equal.
  • WHY?
  • 1:Complaining
  • Look what you are doing to us.

  • YOU WILL BE ARRESTED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR PASSES!
  • In the 1940's the National Party (the white dominated political party that ruled South Africa for several decades in the 20th century) began a apartheid program for blacks which caused conflict.
  • 3:Revolution
  • MEANWHILE in Sharpeville.....
  • Many members of the ANC (African National Congress) including a black lawyer named Nelson Mandela was arrested and put in jail to serve a life term. Many ordered for his release but, when he was in jail the people realized that only violence can beat violence.
  • 4:Recovery
  • (CLAP!!)
  • PAC (Pan Africanist Congress) told blacks to appear at police stations on march 21,1960 without there passes. To go in the streets and protest for the release of Nelson Mandela.
  • Let Mandela Go! 
  • POLICE
  • A massacre broke out at Sharpeville ,the police had opened fire and killed 69 blacks.The South African Govenment banned the ANC and PAC during the time too.
  • In 1989,a new South African president named F.W de klerk repealed ,or took away,the apartheid laws.And Mandela was released from prison in 1990.Later,Nelson mandela was elected first president of the new democratic South Africa.
