Storyboard Description

In 1803, Thomas Jefferson wanted to acquire the Port of New Orleans, in what is now that state of Louisiana from the French. Thomas Jefferson bought the land for $15 million all together. It gave U.S 828,000 square miles of land. Thomas Jefferson needed some one to go explore his new land and see what it was and what it had to offer. So then he chose Lewis and Clark to lead the expedition After a little after 2 years, they returned home with a lot of new information. They found uncharted rivers and mountains. They discovered new tribes, animals, food, plants. They also bought back tales that made other people dream of going west.
