  • But before the Constitution came to be, first in it's place was the very confusing Articles Of Confederation, adopted by Congress in 1777.

  • The amendments included things such as freedom of religion, speech and press; the right to bear arms and be tried by a jury, and the right to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances.
  • The Bill of Rights also prohibited cruel and unusual punishments and arbitrary government seizure of property.
  • Yeesh. Okay jeez.
  • Says who!?
  • Says the 4th Amendment, that's who!
  • Hey you can't take my property!
