The two rival families, Capulet and the Monatgues, mockingly argue in the fair streets of Verona, a fight spreads between the two servants , who of which begin to provoke one and other, Benvolio, meaning good will, tries to bring peace between the two, but it fails and Tybalt , the prince of cats or a catalyst of violence in the play invokes the fight and it ends in bloodshed
We first meet Romeo, a troubled young man who has fallen madly in love with a young girl named Rosaline, but she does not have feelings for him, he is depressed and constantly writing poems about his courtly love. But Benvolio comes over to talk to Romeo and convinces him to come to a Capulet party
Romeo friends then go to the Capulet party, the only reason Romeo goes is because Rosaline (his crush) is there. But he sees Juliet and instantly falls for her. They then kiss, but they then find out the family they're associated with. Tybalt then sees Romeo and wants to protect his families pride and fight Romeo, but Lord Capulet insists that Romeo can stay, he did not want the night ruined.
Romeo then as they're leaving runs back to see Juliet, Romeo then earwigs on Juliet confessing her love to Romeo and then he shows himself, they then share a kiss with one and other and then arrange to marry, bearing in mind its been an hour and they are 14 and 15.
Romeo then goes to see Friar Lawrence to arrange a marriage, Friar Lawrence then accepts to marry because he feels as though it will stop the 'ancient grudge'.
