Show Me Da Wae of the Silent Trade - Pt. 1
This is a description. You just wasted 5 seconds of your time reading this. Good job, kid.
Hey there! My name is Bob the Camel, and I'm going to teach you about the Silent Trade! The Silent Trade is a trade in which the two sides NEVER SEE Each other! This happened between Wanaranga and Ghana, and usually took place along a river.
The other traders would take what they were trading down to the river, and spread it out along the side.
Salt... salt... salt.... must trade salt.
Then the traders beat a drum to announce they were making a trade.
They then walked miles away from the site.
I'm afraid of water...
When the Wangarans heard the drums, they came to the trade site by boat.
The Wangarans would set an appropriate amount of gold dust by the river.
Hehe... maybe I can get a discount.
