  • Gatsby is standing in his backyard, and stares at a green light that is glowing for across the way. Nick is going home a notices Gatsby staring towards his and Daisy's house. Symbol: Green Light  
  • Chapter 4
  • Tom and Nick travel to New York on a train, but on their way they pass through West Egg and notice a billboard with eyes on them. Symbol: The eyes of T.J Eckleberg
  • Chapter 6
  • Nick finally realizes that he formally got invited to one of Gatsby's house parties and he meets Gatsby and talks to him the first time. Nick and Gatsby conversate about them serving in a branch. Symbol: Gatsby's House Party
  • Chapter 7
  • Nick invites Gatsby to have lunch in New York, so they drive to New York and Gatsby talks about how he got his wealth. On the way to NY, Gatsby gets pulled over by a police officer, but when Gatsby shows him the white card, he let him go. Symbol: White card and police 
  • Gatsby invites Nick and Daisy to come over and swim at his house. It started raining, so Gatsby just went to Nick's house and had tea. Nick decided to leave the couple alone, and when he came back in Daisy was crying tears of happiness, and Gatsby knocked over Nick's clock. Symbol: The clock Gatsby knocks over
  • Tom and Mr.Wilson heard a loud crash outside the shop, and they looked and Myrtle was on the ground dead. A witness seen the hit and run and told Tom and Mr.Wilson that it was a yellow car. The only person who has a yellow car is Gatsby, and they came back but Daisy was actually the one who hit Myrtle, but Gatsby took the blame. Symbol: Gatsby's yellow car
