  • At the end of the school holidays
  • "Class this year we will be writing dairies
  • The first day at school
  • The Harbour bridge starts being built
  • Simon and his friends Marty and Jeff went down to the beach for fishing and playing sports for fun at the last day of the school holidays
  • Simon's uncle draws how the bridge is made.
  • On the first day of school the teacher had told them to start writing dairies for the whole year to improve english
  • Simon makes a friend called Emily who comes from England
  • See you tomorrow?
  • Simon's uncle helps build the bridge and Simon's dad is a guard at the bridge site whilst its being built and when its finsished
  • Emily's family is going back to England because the bridge has finished
  • Here is my house address in England so you can post letters to me
  • Simon's uncle helps build the bridge so he shows and draws how the bridge is made and what he does to help build.
  • Simon see's a girl called Emily in his class. Emily says 'I see you everyday here but you just don't see me' They laugh together. 'See you tomorrow?' asks Simon. 'Yup, see you tomorrow'.
  • Yeah, I'll be walking here everyday!
  • The bridge has finished being built so Emily and her family are going back to England. But Emily gives Simon their house address so he can send her a letter
