Odysseus is taunting the cyclops that they tricked him so know the cyclops knows they are leaving.
Odysseus taunted him again telling the cyclops his name. the cyclops was told Odysseus would trick him so he wanted to reward Odysseus. Odysseus refused to come back so the cyclops so the cyclops prayed to his father Poseidon. As a result, Odysseus was cursed by Poseidon that it would be very hard to get home.
