Title: The Turtle and The Hare By: Mathew Infante

Storyboard Text

  • Retold by: Mathew Infante Setting : The Forest
  • Ok, but I will probably beat you, because I am consistent and I don't give up!
  • Hey, Turtle, lets race! Although, we already know who will win.  This guy (pointing to himself and inflating his chest with pride).
  • Main characters: Turtle, Hare and the forest animals
  • Are you ready to race? Are you ready to eat my dust?
  • I was born ready!
  • The forest animals mapped out the course. As soon as he heard Go!, Hare zoomed pass all the animals that came to watch the race.
  • One step at a time and I will make it.
  • 3, 2, 1, Go!
  • By the time I get to the finish line, he'll still be at the starting line.
  • The conceited Hare seen how slow the Turtle raced, he decided to relax under a tree. Hare felt that he was way ahead in the race.
  • I'm tired!  I must be way in front of the turtle.  I guess I'll take a little nap! Zzz
  • The Turtle kept going slow and steady, passing the sleeping Hare.  At last, when  Hare woke up, he noticed Turtle was near the finish line.
  • (start to get up)  Oh no! The turtle is going to win the race. I have to go.
  • Moral: You can be more successful by doing things slow and steadily; like winning a race!
  • You did it, Turtle!
  • The winner is...….. Turtle!
