Storyboard Text

  • The city has rerouted these waterways... Now my harbor has filled with sediment!
  • My boats are ruined! My harbor is useless now! Baltimore will pay for this!
  • The city of Baltimore has taken my property and made it unusable. They have violated my fifth amendment!
  • The city will repay the damages they have done, as this act of taking personal property is illegal!
  • It is our right to restrict and reroute the water supply. Doing so is an act of helping the community, thus not an illegal act.
  • One supreme court decision later...
  • We will compensate Barron for the damages. However...
  • The city of Baltimore did not violate the constitution. The Bill of rights only refers to the federal government, and is ineffectual in state affairs.
  • The City of Baltimore provides no such laws or protections to your property, so they have not committed a crime.
  • Therefore, every citizen is a "dual citizen". In addition to being a citizen of the United States, you are also a citizen of your own state and must abide by both sets of laws.
