  • aww, DARN I cant afford that
  • Sometime in the middle ages, the king of england implments poll tax
  • you peasants will pay poll taxes
  • The peasants decided they wanted none of this, so they decapitated the tax collector and called for a rebellion
  • REBELLION!
  • We will NOT put up with this!
  • OUCH! MY EYE!
  • Follow me!
  • The leader of this rebellion, Wat Tyler, told everyone to follow him to England to convince the king to take the taxes away
  • Wat Tyler headed to England with his group of rebelling peasants, the group got larger and larger as more peasants would join in on the revolt on their way to england
  • When Wat Tyler Reached London the king and mayor were there to negotiate with him, Instead of a peaceful disscussion... the mayor stabbed Wat.
  • Me no likey!
  • Sounds good!
  • And so that was the end of the peasants revolt, with their leader dead, the rebels just walked back home and nothing really changed for the peasants.
