  • May 21, 1919 U.S. representative James R Mann , a republican from Illinois and chairman proposed the house resolution to approve Amendment. A full 42 votes above required 2/3s majority.
  • 2 weeks later the Senate passed the 19th Amendment. Women had a right to vote.
  • The right of citizens are no longer based on sex.
  • I can Vote!! I can make decisions.
